Nominations for the 2026 Horn-Walter-Burley Awards are now being accepted. The acceptance of nominations of an outstanding special educator or student for this recognition is done on behalf of the Ohio Coalition for the Education of Children with Disabilities (OCECD). Each year, OCECD recognizes one educator and one student nominee from each of Ohio's 16 State Support Team Regions at their annual award ceremony luncheon.
The deadline for nominations is April 17th, 2026. All student nominees will receive an acknowledgement letter from SST 10 congratulating them on their achievements. One educator and one student nominee from our region will receive an invitation from OCECD to attend the award ceremony on June 9th in Columbus.
