The emergent literacy series will provide participants with a common understanding of the components of literacy instruction from birth to kindergarten entry. The series will include a review of research on phonological awareness, oral language, vocabulary, and print knowledge as well as provide opportunities for participants to apply the research to practice with sample activities and connect to classroom fieldwork.
