What is Secondary Transition?
Secondary Transition is the vital step that every student with a disability must take as they leave hgih school and move on to further education, employment and independent living. Early planning for this step into adulthood is so essential that the transition process is key element documented in each student's Individualized Education Program (IEP).
Region 10 State Support Team is committed to assisting districts, students and their families with the secondary transition process. Each year, we sponsor the It's YOUR Life Regional Transition Fair, we are active in supporting a Regional Transition Council, and we remain active in cross-agency collaboration with the intent to keep districts, students and their families well-informed and connected.
